Abstract

Nonlinear diffusion in the binary liquid solution of diethyl ether with chloroform accompanied by a complex formation reaction has been considered. It is shown that the account for the possibility of the [A1B1] complex formation can explain the nonlinear concentration dependence of the mutual diffusion coefficient. The calculation results are compared with the results of other approaches. A nonlinear modification of Fick’s law was demonstrated to provide the best description of experimental results, i.e. it gives the smallest average relative deviation.
