Українська мова й фізика: коротка істо¬рична ретроспектива (до 150-річчя наукового товариства імені Шевченка)

Анотація

Розглянуто iсторiю використання української мови для публiкацiї результатiв фiзичних дослiджень та популяризацiї фiзики. Проаналiзовано основнi статтi з фiзики, надрукованi українською мовою у 1877–1940 рр. Особливий наголос зроблено на виданнях недержавного Наукового товариства iменi Шевченка, яке дiяло у Львовi в статусi першої нацiональної української академiї наук у 1892–1939 рр. Показано, що автори статей у цих виданнях головною своєю метою ставили не так донесення результату до мiжнародної спiльноти фiзикiв, як пiднесення статусу української мови, офiцiйно забороненої у 1863 та 1876 рр. у росiйськiй iмперiї, до статусу розвинених європейських мов, забезпечуючи її функцiонування в закритих доти для неї царинах. Обговорено перспективи використання української мови для публiкацiї результатiв фiзичних дослiджень та популяризацiї фiзики сьогоднi.
